It is easy to love the people far away. It is not always easy to love those close to us. It is easier to give a cup of rice to relieve hunger than to relieve the loneliness and pain of someone unloved in our own home. Bring love into your home for this is where our love for each other must start. -Mother Teresa

Two-Year Old Update

For about a week, this umbrella was part of her 'wardrobe' along with the sunglasses.

Josephine weighs 26 1/2 pounds and is 36 1/2 inches tall.

I would like to give you this picture of Jo with her an update from her 2-year old well-child check-up and leave it at that. But that wouldn't be an accurate portrayal of our girl.

These are a bit more accurate:

Eating a snack while wearing an outfit she picked out: fleece PJ pants, shirt, and mom's underwear stolen from a to-fold laundry basket OVER her clothes. (How can you not laugh when someone wanders into the room like this?)

It was evident that somebody stashed a marker in her room for use during nap time. After a putting it to good use on her sheets, the wall, and carpet - she turned the marker on herself. I thought I had her cleaned up (before Dad got home from work and would judge me!) but later I discovered the bottom of her feet!

  1. Ahahhaa! Just keeping it interesting! It's comforting to hear your stories, since we have similar crazy situations going on over here all the time, too. I love the pic of Josie with her accessories! Such style!
