It is easy to love the people far away. It is not always easy to love those close to us. It is easier to give a cup of rice to relieve hunger than to relieve the loneliness and pain of someone unloved in our own home. Bring love into your home for this is where our love for each other must start. -Mother Teresa

Family Fun Goal: Camp Out

Last night was beautiful so we pulled out the tent, lit a fire in the fire pit, and camped out. We are still backyard campers - Jo is just not ready to visit a campsite. She proved this over and over last night by being too loud!

About midnight she woke up yelling that she needed to use the potty. She had already wet her diaper but still insisted on heading into the house to use the potty. (Mommy is NOT in a good mood for middle of the night useless potty breaks.) So glad it was just a few steps to our own bathroom and I wasn't visiting a pit potty!

Nan gets better and better every year at helping.

Jo shows more interest in 'helping'.

This works better when Jo isn't helping so much.
Showing off the finished project. You can clearly see how far in the wilderness we are. :)
Playing in the tent.

Nan and I look like we are being punished while a 2-year tends the fire.
