It is easy to love the people far away. It is not always easy to love those close to us. It is easier to give a cup of rice to relieve hunger than to relieve the loneliness and pain of someone unloved in our own home. Bring love into your home for this is where our love for each other must start. -Mother Teresa

Plan an Elf Party

Update: our Elf Party is December 22nd this my brother-in-law can attend! He is scheduled to have leave and be home!!! It will be our first time ever to celebrate Christmas with him and my nephew! You are welcome to join us too! I have created an event on facebook or drop me an email for details.

We are getting out the calendar this week and setting some dates for holiday events. One of our favorites is our Annual Elf Party.

I wanted to encourage you to throw one of your own.  Last year I shared how our family plays and eats for the Elf Party. We had one family in our old town throw one. It was fun to see their pictures and their ideas. (Although we missed them attending our party!) Would love to hear that your family worked together to host an Elf Party and see pictures!

I have a challenge for you: Make a point to invite at least one family a little out of your normal group. It is a busy time of year and many times people won't be able to attend but they will feel good knowing that they were invited. Who knows, they may invite you over for a game night. (It happened to us and we have some of our very best friends because of it!)
