It is easy to love the people far away. It is not always easy to love those close to us. It is easier to give a cup of rice to relieve hunger than to relieve the loneliness and pain of someone unloved in our own home. Bring love into your home for this is where our love for each other must start. -Mother Teresa

Throw Back Thursday: Day 1 with N*stya

***She has been on my heart and brain so almost constantly, so I am sharing this post from the very first day we met. We plan on hosting her and her sister this Christmas but things are messy in their country. Would you please join me in praying that "our" girls get to spend Christmas with us rather than an orphanage?  (Good heavens, I love this girl!)***

You don't really want for me to really want pictures!

The flights continued to be delayed...This is Jo hours passed her bed time. Don't worry by the time we got N*stya she had rallied for one grand singing finale until she passed out for for good around 12:30.

Nan on the other hand sat alert and ready the entire day AND night. Notice we are by the gate! Yes, we were able to greet them as they got off the plane. Not something that usually happens but a lot of their travel wasn't usual!

Finally together! This lovely little lady has been traveling for more than 40 hours and still she is smiling!

Heading out of the airport. Can you imagine never having met us but still leaving with us? These kids are so brave!

Back at the hotel (in matching PJ's) breaking the ice with some glow sticks and potato chips.
Michael, Jo, and I fell asleep leaving these two to chat away via google translate, play games, and watch a movie because they were still wide awake. (They haven't slowed down yet!)
