It is easy to love the people far away. It is not always easy to love those close to us. It is easier to give a cup of rice to relieve hunger than to relieve the loneliness and pain of someone unloved in our own home. Bring love into your home for this is where our love for each other must start. -Mother Teresa

A breakfast study date

Jo was getting her class pictures taken so we had an hour to kill. Nan and I headed out for some breakfast. Utilizing the time, we reviewed our Classical Conversations memory work. On the way out, we were stopped by the couple sitting at the table near us. They wanted to know what grade Nan was in and were interested in learning more about the classical model we were using. This Navy veteran even quizzed her a little on geography and history, obviously enjoying having someone who knew what he was talking about! It brightened up and older gentleman's day and gave Nan a confidence boost...plus there were pancakes involved!
