It is easy to love the people far away. It is not always easy to love those close to us. It is easier to give a cup of rice to relieve hunger than to relieve the loneliness and pain of someone unloved in our own home. Bring love into your home for this is where our love for each other must start. -Mother Teresa

Kentucky Trip Day 1

The end of March, we took a quick trip to meet Julie and spend time with some loved ones in Louisville, Kentucky.

It really must be Nan...we got stuck in traffic and the trip was almost 2 hours longer than expected.

Meeting Julie for the first time.

Toddler toys? Yes but they were new to her...and since Jo was playing with them all of sudden so did Ella. Amazing how that works, huh?

Ice cream first and then we can make dinner!

This little one slept through our ice cream run.

Even I had ice probably know this about me but I order whatever on the menu the restaurant or area is famous this case, Bourbon Ball candy ice cream in a homemade waffle cone. I haven't eaten that much ice cream in the past 2 years put together...and I shouldn't have. But seriously, you know I don't even like ice cream (and it doesn't like me) but I WANT MORE OF THIS!

Nancy and I enjoying our ice cream cones pretending it is just the two of us catching up on old times....that's a lie. Turns out Ella and Jo cannot be ignored.

This first ice cream trip to was a Louisville local spot, the Comfy Cow. It is in an old Victorian House that is decorated really fun but is totally welcoming for all ages.

Nan and her Auntie Nancy making Tortillas for supper. I love that these two have a relationship!

We were invited to participate in Josh and Ella's nightly dance party!

Poor Baby Julie...this is a whole lot of love good night.

Ella can't push Jo very far but they still like to take turns getting to push.

Ella trying on some of the clothes Jo is passing along to her...yes, even the Minnie Mouse underpants!
