It is easy to love the people far away. It is not always easy to love those close to us. It is easier to give a cup of rice to relieve hunger than to relieve the loneliness and pain of someone unloved in our own home. Bring love into your home for this is where our love for each other must start. -Mother Teresa

Hosting Day 7 (Christmas Eve)

Christmas Eve snuck up on me this year! I wasn't quite ready to celebrate because there was so much more I wanted to do! So we hurried up and stuff a few extra things into the day! First our friends, who speak Russian, came over to decorate cookies and visit. Then we finished up an ongoing ornament making project (this completed a family fun goal so I will post pics with that). We made a few more foods and then before we knew it, Michael was off work. It was time to celebrate with Meme & Papa Bill!

This might be the first picture of the 6 of us!
Sometimes it is a bit overwhelming to eat when you aren't familiar with the foods. N2 is doing a great job of knowing what she likes but trying things she may like. N1 is struggling a bit but we are working on it.

Nan received a guitar and is excited to begin lessons soon!

Michael, Meme and JoJo passed out the gifts

N2 said "Wow!" at least a half dozen times while unwrapping gifts.

Jo didn't want to unwrap anything else after this!
We introduced N1 and N2 to the movie Elf while we drove to and from Meme & Papa's house. They LOVED it, which is a good thing since we were hosting our Annual Elf Party just a few days later! We got home late and tried to settle the girls to bed. It took longer than we had hoped because of the new MP3 players they received from Meme and Papa.
