It is easy to love the people far away. It is not always easy to love those close to us. It is easier to give a cup of rice to relieve hunger than to relieve the loneliness and pain of someone unloved in our own home. Bring love into your home for this is where our love for each other must start. -Mother Teresa

Winter Hosting Day 8 (Christmas Day!)

We spend Christmas day at home. Nana, Papa Joe, and Grandma Fuzzy arrive late Christmas Eve night to spend the night. So they wake up (early!) with us to celebrate. Auntie Sherry came over later in the day too!!!

A before picture of the tree with gifts

Christmas stockings are a tradition in our family. Everyone gets one and it is filled with small wrapped gifts...everything is wrapped no matter how small so it takes awhile!

Unwrapping...and unwrapping...and unwrapping...
After stockings we eat our traditional Christmas breakfast: little smokies wrapped in bacon and cinnamon rolls.

Taking a break for a picture even the dog wanted in!

Auntie Sherry gave the girls special "sisters forever" necklaces

Because space is limited, our gift to all the girls was not a thing but an activity: we are heading to an indoor water park!

It was a beautiful day so there was some soccer playing

The girls made us a traditional salad from their country: cucumbers, tomatoes, onion, and LOTS of mayo!
