Throw Back Thursday
Yesterday found us celebrating again with this family. Instead of celebrating a marriage, we were celebrating a life. Sounds weird to say celebrate but that is what the family did, members stood up shared their memories about a man they loved. Although I personally had very little interaction with Uncle Jerry, I was emotional as I listened to his grandsons express their appreciation for his interest in their lives. He knew them. They knew him.
Less than a week before our first trip, I attended a funeral. We leave in less than a week for our second trip, and just attended a funeral. Ugh....don't "they" say these things come in threes?!?
